Active X is basically a tool and set of object oriented programming technologies. In 1996, Active X was developed by Microsoft Corporation for Internet Explorer in order to get rich media playback and for reliable browsing experience through Internet Explorer. The most striking feature of Active X in Internet Explorer is to load other software applications for the browser and in this way it is an inevitable tool to include in Internet Explorer. The procedure is given below. Step 1: At first open Internet Explorer. Step 2: Now choose Tools, and then click on Internet Options. Step 3: Select the Security tab and click on the button named Custom Level. Step 4: Now mark “prompt” under both the download signed Active-X controls and download unsigned Active-X controls. Step 5: Clicks on apply and then hit Ok. This is a very efficient way by using which an user can fix activeX related problems. Uninstalling particular software can also harm activeX controllers. After uninstalling the DLL file which was associated with the software become removed and as a result if active X controller need it during its runtime, the procedure falls down. Then there is the only way to reinstall the appropriate program. Step 1: Open the particular Internet browser window. This will allow you to uninstall the problem ActiveX control so you can reinstall later. Step 2: Now go to "Tools”. Step 3: Click on "Manage Add-Ons > Enable/Disable Add-Ons.” Step 4: Now Select "Downloaded ActiveX Controls" under "Show" drop-down list. Step 5: Select particular ActiveX component to delete. Step 6: After selecting the component now click on the "Delete" under the "Delete ActiveX" box at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Step 7: Now click on Ok. Step 8: At the last step you can now go to the Microsoft's official site and can download trusted Active X controller.
